Dynamic and high-energy real estate services firm is seeking a talented Staff Accountant to establish procedures and a smooth cadence for day to day accounting functions including A/R, A/P, general journal entries, inter-company transactions, and financial records maintenance for our many corporate companies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Determine proper accounting for real estate development, construction, and investment
•Create and manage recurring and unique monthly A/R and A/P among multiple companies
•Reconcile A/R and A/P to the G/L
•Accurately record a variety of journal entries to include property acquisitions and refinancing
•Process and track development costs and funding
•Reconcile vendor statements
•Prepare detailed accounting statements and reports for management

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelors degree in Accounting
•Minimum of 4 years accounting experience
•Strong understanding of accrual and cash based accounting
•MUST understand balance sheets, income statements, journal entries, general ledgers, trial balances, and chart of accounts
•Real estate and construction background preferred
•Proficiency with QuickBooks software preferred
•Solid analytical and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
•Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
